When I was little my dad (bring) me home a goldfish. I was delighted but something soon went wrong. My parents (talk) to some friends who had come to visit us, and I was a bit bored so I (go) into the kitchen to see my goldfish. I (sit) on the chair at the table and watched the fish swimming around the bowl. Then, I (notice) that there was a packet of goldfish food which (stand) on the table next to the goldfish bowl and I picked it up to look at it. My parents (tell) me never to feed the goldfish, but I (think) it looked a bit hungry so I (decide) to feed it. First I could not open the packet and struggled with it for some time. Then, unfortunately the lid came off the packet of goldfish food, and the entire contents (spill) into the water. The food (float) on the surface of the water and I knew I was in trouble. I was really embarrassed and I felt incredibly guilty because I (be) so disobedient. I (run) into the living room crying and crying and eventually I told my parents what (happen). They (rush) into the living room to see the damage I (do). My goldfish survived, though, and went on to live for another two years. Of course I (apologized) to my parents and promised I would never do anything like that again. I learnt my lesson from my disobedience and now I have to laugh at how silly I once used to be.
