Dear Ted,
thanks so
for the letter you sent me. I was so excited when I found it in my pigeonhole at school. I don't often get letters so
one really made my day, especially because it was from you.
Well, it was great to
to know you as my new penfriend. You said you wanted to know someting
me and my family so here it comes. I am 17 years
but in June I'm going to celebrate my 18th birthday. I live in a house in a small town in the Highlands with my brother and parents. My mum works
a secretary in a small company and my dad is a banker. My borther Jack is five years younger than me and still goes to a primary school.
I have loads of hobbies and interests. I guess I am really
music. I listen to many styles of music but my
favourite is definitely rock. I also have a band with my friends and we sometimes organise concerts for our school. Besides music, I am crazy
sports. I like both watching
doing sports. In summer I
volleyball in a school team and in winter we go skiing a lot with my family. By
way, cross-country skiing is really popular here in the Highlands.
I can't wait
come and see you in Gloucester. I've
been there before so I tried to find some information about it on the
. It seems to be a big city so I think we will have a lot to do. I know that golf is quite popular in England so I was wondering if
is a course where we could go and play it.
I have already booked my flight and
everything goes well I will arrive at Gatwick on Monday at 11.20 a.m. Please drop me a
and let me know if you can come and
me up at the airport. If you can't make it, please send me directions how I should get to Gloucester.
I am really looking
to meeting you soon and enjoying our time in England.
With love
Julia
